Empowering Youth Through Live-Work Housing
The Promised Place provides youth aging out of foster care, homeless youth, and young people from vulnerable communities with 1–2 years of supportive housing, mentorship, and workforce training — leading to long-term stability and ownership.
Why It Matters
20% of youth aging out of foster care experience homelessness within 18 months.
Without intervention, many young adults struggle to access education, employment, or safe housing.
Affordable housing in South Bend is scarce, making stability nearly impossible for vulnerable youth.
The Promised Place addresses these challenges by combining housing + workforce + ownership pathways into a holistic solution.
Building Futures Through Training & Transformation
Through hands-on workforce development, young people gain the skills and confidence to step directly into jobs and entrepreneurship.
A Place to Call Home
